Franz Ferdinand has released their new video for single “Evil Eye” directed by well-known US film-maker Diane Martel.
Lead singer Alex Kapranos & Todd Terje co-produced the video which as inspired by a ‘horror theme’ following suit after the song title. Kapranos describes the video stating:
“The video is a gruesome blood orgy eye stab death romp wide-oh creep necro fest, play this on the telly if you dare you fuckers.”
Director Diane Martel, also the director for Robin Thicke’s hit single “Blurred Lines,” commented saying,
“This is a creepy nasty video for my dear friends and my favourite band. I’m proud to be part of this brilliant album’s visuals!”
The popular Scottish band is finally back from a four year hiatus and are striking up conversations around the world in excitement of their fourth album entitled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.
Franz Ferdinand currently consists of members Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, Bob Hardy and Paul Thomson. The band will be making a much anticipated return to the US with several live tour dates throughout the month of October. If you have not seen Franz Ferdinand play a live set before, this is not something you are going to want to miss.
