Glasgow’s pop rock heroes debuted a special cover of Grimes’ cult hit “Oblivion” during a recent stop at France’s Ouï FM radio station.
Franz Ferdinand have had a busy Summer leading up to the release of their fourth studio album a few days ago. The band released two singles over the month of July, the first of which already has one million views on YouTube.
Their choice to cover Grimes’ song may seem odd given their distinctly different music styles, but “Oblivion” has been a popular tune lately. Earlier this year sisters Katie and Allison Crutchfield (of Waxahatchee and Swearin’) covered it as well. Check out Franz Ferdinand’s live acoustic rendition below.
