Fans will also have the chance to see the Arctic Monkeys in concert at the iTunes Festival in the UK on September 9th.
With the previous release of their new song “2013” and the Monkeys new video for “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” the band has delivered another gem, with their new song “Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You.” The song speaks to the romantic side of the Arctic Monkeys, with their A-side primarily focusing on booty calls and drunken nights. A steady piano, drum and guitar pattern create a heartbeat to the song, and while many influences sound ‘old school’ (like the classic rock guitar solo at the finale), there is also a modern, synthesized effect to parts of the instrumentation.
