Some tragic news out of Boston. Electro-house producer Zedd’s American tour has been put on pause after the death of one fan, and hospitalization of two others following his first show.
While it’s still not entirely clear what went down at Zedd’s kickoff concert, it is sadly certain that one concertgoer is dead, and two others are in serious condition. Jay Anderson, a spokesman for the House of Blues (the concert venue) released this statement:
“Last evening, there were guests at our venue in need of medical treatment during the performance. They were assisted by Boston EMS as well as on-site emergency medical personnel and then transported to local medical facilities. One individual has unfortunately passed away and our thoughts go out to their family and friends for their loss. This matter is under investigation and we are continuing to work with local officials.”
Zedd responded by cancelling tonight’s show as a gesture of respect, tweets to follow:
Love and respect to those in pain right now. Our hearts go out to you.

Further updates from Zedd can be seen on his twitter. Not too much else to say here folks, a damn shame and an appropriate reaction. We can only sympathize with those affected by these events.
