With his lucky mitts on Sweet Tea’s million-dollar studio set, DIY demigod Dead Gaze pulls out all the stops on his upcoming album Brian Holiday, billed as an expansive (and expensive) “vacation from people’s troubles.”
Mother always said the key to success was “networking networking networking.” The lesson rang true for Cole Furlow (AKA Dead Gaze), when a friend offered 11 days of free studio time at Sweet Tea, the famous Oxford, MS studio which has hosted the likes of Animal Collective, Modest Mouse, The Walkmen, and Elvis Costello. Furlow ensured that the results were as epic as the circumstances which evoked them.
