Georgia-based of Montreal has made a stream of their new song, “She Ain’t Speakin’ Now,” available today.

The track is from their forthcoming album Lousy With Sylvianbriar, which is due out on October 8 on Polyvinyl Records. “She Ain’t Speakin’ Now” features high contrasts, switching between a quiet acoustic sound and hard rock vocals and guitar.
According to Rolling Stone, where the song can be streamed, member Kevin Barnes wrote the track when his wife and daughter were bedridden with the same illness. “It was during the middle of our recording sessions for Sylvianbriar, so I was pretty paranoid about catching what they had,” said Barnes.
Since their inception in 1996, of Montreal has put out new material regularly, with their last full-length album having been released just last year. Fans who can’t get enough of Montreal can see them on tour this fall, starting in their hometown of Athens, Georgia.
