Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell is embarking on a solo North American tour this Fall where he will be playing songs spanning the entirety of his nearly 30 year musical career.

Kicking off mid October in San Diego, the Songbook tour will travel to many locations across the US and Canada for intimate acoustic performances of selections from Cornell’s solo catalogue, as well as his work with Soundgarden. This includes new solo arrangements of songs from Soundgarden’s 2012 album King Animal, their first in over 16 years. American/Sri Lankan Folk Musician Bhi Bhiman will join the tour as opener. With these shows and bassist Ben Shepherd’s solo album dropping this month, the Soundgarden boys are having quite a year.
Tickets for the Songbook tour go on sale August 16th. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to the recently founded Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation for vulnerable children, and the ChildHaven Creative Music Therapy Program. For more news and updates visit Chris Cornell’s official site.
