The Melvins are on quite a roll with their latest video for the cover of Butthole Surfers’ “Graveyard.” Currently on an extensive 30 Year Anniversary Tour in North America, the band has also just announced the release of new album. The new album, Tres Cabrones, is set to release November 2013 via Ipecac Records.

The Melvin’s new video is a feast for the eyes, with ‘innocent mayhem’ in every frame. The Butthole Surfers’ track, “Graveyard,” makes a bold statement in contrast to free ice cream being handed out to children in Humboldt Park, Chicago. The video is in fact only slightly staged, with a sparkling new Jeni’s Ice Cream truck, but it wasn’t until Buzz Osborne added “free” to the mix, that the video turned in a unique direction. All of the chaos and magic that was captured, from symphonic and epic rock performances by the band, to eagerly excited children, this video is truly a genius depiction of all the irony in the world.
