The Avalanches Remix Hunters & Collectors For New Compilation Album

As rumors remain for a pending sophomore album from The Avalanches, new music continues to leak out of the electronic group’s camp, this time via remix of the late great Aussie band Hunters & Collectors.

The Avalanches have stoked the flames of a comeback numerous times in the years following their debut album Since I Left You, in 2000. This includes news of an upcoming release in 2011, as well as the reissue of their debut that same year.

Earlier this summer, The Avalanches were included as contributors to the King Kong Musical, which also featured music from Justice, Massive Attack and more. Now it’s been announced they’ve provided new music for the upcoming remix Crucible: The Songs of Hunters & Collectors, set to be released in September.
