Arcade Fire Set to Score Spike Jonze’s New Film Her

Spike Jonze’s new film, Her, will feature a score by Arcade Fire.

The band, whose upcoming album is discussed further here, has been working hard to release it by October. This will be their fourth studio album, and the information was released via Twitter to one single randomly selected fan recently.

In the meantime, Arcade Fire is set to score the widely anticipated sci-fi romantic comedy film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson, among others. The movie will be released in November, and the deeply intriguing trailer can be viewed below to give you an idea of what to expect.

Spike Jonze has collaborated extensively with the band in the past, choosing to use Arcade Fire’s hit single “Wake Up” in the trailer for his film adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s book Where the Wild Things Are, and directing a short film-length music video back in 2010 during the band’s The Suburbs era.

Now, in the trailer for Her, Arcade Fire are given direct credit for the score.
