He’s My Brother She’s My Sister Announce Fall 2013 Tour Dates

Folk band He’s My Brother She’s My Sister has announced a headlining tour to kick off this October, following a handful of festival dates & one-offs.

The five-piece folk group He’s My Brother She’s My Sister received a great deal of recognition after releasing their debut LP, Nobody Dances In This Town, last fall via Park The Van Records. Praise for the record came from sources such as FILTER, Paste, Teen Vogue and CMJ; and earned them a performance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The band’s live shows are energetic and enraging, and definitely worth making it out to see.

Fronted by brother-sister duo Robert and Rachel Kolar, the genre-defying quintet is rounded out by tap-dancing percussionist Lauren Brown, stand-up bass player Oliver Newell, and touring member Ryan Richter on lap slide. Their unconventional sound, which has been described as everything from “flamboyant folk” to “psych-acoustic”, is at once modern and antique, sincere and theatrical.
