The contents of the much anticipated multi-format reissue of Nirvana’s classic album In Utero have finally been revealed to the public. A standalone DVD of their 1993 Live and Loud concert, which was originally aired on MTV as a New Year’s Eve Special, will also be released the same day.
It was announced earlier this month that In Utero, Nirvana’s third and final 1993 album would be reissued in multiple formats for its 20th anniversary. The remastered version of the multi-platinum album will come along with its original b-sides, never before heard demos, an unreleased complete video of the December, 1993 Live and Loud concert at Seattle’s Pier 48, rare, unreleased and live tracks, all together making for seventy-plus pieces of new material.
As stated previously, there are a handful of options for the reissue’s formatting, including a 3 CD/1 DVD super deluxe package and a standard digital/CD remaster. Some material will be exclusive to the format purchased. Alongside the album, a standalone DVD of the Live and Loud concert will be released on the same day with some extra never before seen live performances.
The In Utero 20th Anniversary Edition and the Live and Loud concert DVD are out September 24th. For further information, visit Nirvana’s official site.
