LA-based rock band, Haim, premiered their new single “The Wire” today on Zane Lowe. The group has finished their debut album and has promised a quick release.
Having gained popularity before even releasing their first full-length album, Haim has stirred up quite the following for such a young band. Not only did they perform at SXSW, but they also appeared on Letterman to perform “Forever” from last year’s EP. Their latest single, called “The Wire,” is a catchy rock piece with theatrical influences and a driving drum beat.
The sisters began at an early age in the Haim family band, cleverly named Rockinhaim, and have since evolved into the sisterly rock group simply entitled Haim. According to The Fader, one of the sisters, Este Haim, used to dream of acting on Saturday Night Live, but “Now,” she says, “I just want to play on Saturday Night Live.” Listen to Haim‘s new release, “The Wire,” below.
