All Pigs Must Die is a powerhouse supergroup of hardcore punk. Nothing Violates This Nature is the much anticipate follow-up to their first release God is War. APMD consists of The Hope Conspiracy’s Kevin Baker on vocals, Ben Koller of Converge on drums and Bloodhorse guitarist Adam Wentworth and bassist Matt Woods. Putting the experience of all the guys together, you get a heavy 30+ years of music, collectively. With that amount of road schoolin’ there is no excuses for putting out bad music. So do they make the cut?
Consistency is key within Nothing Violates This Nature. From “Chaos Arise” to “Articles of Human Weakness” Nothing Violates This Nature is getting rave reviews from fan bases, music mags and blogs alike. The composition of the record is fantastic when listening to it in its entirety. “Of Suffering” is the slowest tack on the album, tracing back to the ‘sludge’ influence the band shares. It is the longest play time with a whopping 5:30– in punk terms, that’s an eternity! Don’t have the patience for that? No sweat, “Aquim Siege” is only 1:05. “Holy Plague,” in the middle of the playtime spectrum at 3:26, has a ripping harmony between guitar and drums that is ironically hopeful in quality considering the albums and the band has been reviewed with some counterparts that are both ugly and angry.

At just over half an hour, Nothing Violates this Nature maintains heavy and anguished charisma as any true nihilistic or altruistic mentors of death metal and hardcore punk do.
