The Head And The Heart Announce New Album Let’s Be Still Set for October 2013 Release

Indie folk-pop act The Head and the Heart will drop their sophomore album on October 15 of this year, about two years after the release of their debut album on Sub Pop Records.

The Seattle-based band has been busy since 2011, when they had a hit with “Lost in my Mind.” They have toured with Dave Matthews, Vampire Weekend and Iron and Wine, among other well-known artists. They also headlined their own shows and have appeared on numerous late night shows.

Says band member Jonathan Russell, “There is a certain level of confidence gained from having such an amazing fan base. You start to trust yourself more.”

Let’s Be Still has a different sound from the one the group began with, due to their experiences while traveling on tour. According to NPR, the band has “a natural knack for fortifying melancholic Americana sounds with the bright, powerful structures of pop songwriting.”
