Pre-Millenium post rockers Slint will be reuniting once again to headline the UK’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in late November. This is the first time in six years that they’ve come together for a performance.
Formed in 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky, Slint put out new material for only a few years before disbanding in 1990. Their music, however, left quite an impression on the late eighties/early nineties post hardcore scene. They’re probably most well known for their track “Good Morning, Captain” from their seminal album Spiderland which was featured in the cult classic film Kids.
They will be headlining the second weekend of All Tomorrow’s Parties’ two weekend End of an Era festival, concluding the last of ATP’s holiday camp events. The festival formed in 2000 as a venue for indie and under the radar musicians to perform in an alternative festival setting. This will be the last year they will hold a festival at any UK holiday camps.
All Tomorrow’s Parties Part 2, where Slint will headline alongside Loop and Mogwai, will take place November 29-December 1 in Camber Sands, UK.
