Maps’ official release of the video for “A.M.A.” has fans celebrating. It is no surprise that with a name like Maps, the video was shot in Spain. Director, Alan Masferrer, has taken the song and transformed it into a visual paragon.
The video for “A.M.A.” was released on June 25th, and it is already getting good reviews. Musicians have already began to remix the track; Susanne Sundfor being one of them. James Chapman is the mastermind behind Maps. Like most artists, Chapman’s music is a reflection of his mental and emotional state.
Every Maps album is parallel structure to himself. When observed in depth, it can be seen that the video contains a plethora of visual imagery and symbols. The production of the song actually took a long period of time, as Chapman went through a state of self-finding and soul searching. It is said that “A.M.A.” is the product of his self realization and the journey he went through to answer the questions he needed answered.
