Satirical heavy metal band GWAR will now be offering more than just music for fans to enjoy, as they have decided to debut their own beer on August 3.
The new beer was created especially for the upcoming GWAR-B-Q in mid-August. The event will feature free samples of the GWAR-B-Q Beer.
Lead vocalist Oderus Urungus will be traveling to the release of the new product in Ybor City, Florida, to party with fans. Urungus is “looking forward to meeting with the fans, getting incredibly wasted, and then vomiting all over them.”
“This is another milestone on the road leading to the GWAR-B-Q, the new GWAR album, and the brand-new GWAR show we will be putting on tour this fall,” he added.
The commercial for GWAR’s new beer is incredibly patriotic.
According to a recent press release, the band said that anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in the party with Oderus Urungus can attend by paying $5 at the door, although the first 50 fans wearing GWARgear will get in for free. There will be live music in addition to Brutal Burgers with GWAR-B-Q Sauce and free samples of the new GWAR-B-Q Beer.
Later this summer GWAR will have even more good news for fans, regarding their newest album, which will be their first to feature new guitarist Pustulus Maximus.
