Year two of India’s Ziro Festival will feature Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo and drummer Steve Shelley, as well as over 20 Indian bands and local acts from throughout the North East area.
Held in the Ziro valley in Arunachal Pradesh, the festival is both supported and promoted by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh’s department of Tourism. It was met with great success in its first year, as more than 150 musicians, artists, photographers and filmmakers provided work for more than 1,000 attendees.
The 2013 installation looks to build on last year’s prosperity, especially with a lineup such as the one below:
