Poison Idea Announces Fall 2013 Tour Dates

Old school Portland punks Poison Idea are back with a revamped lineup and some (mostly) Eastern US shows lined up for the Fall.

Poison Idea are considered by many to be one of the landmark bands of the 80’s hardcore punk movement. Heavily influenced by southern California groups like Black Flag and the Germs, they tore up the scene from 1980 all the way up to 1993. They played their first post-dissolution show in ’98 and have been performing sporadically since then.

Though the majority of the current lineup are not original members of the band, founding singer Jerry A. is still going at it. New members consist of Jim Taylor and Jeff “The Duck” Walter on guitars, Chris Cuthbert on drums, and Thom Rusnak of New Jersey hardcore band Rorschach replacing Pig Champion on bass after his unexpected death in 2006.

Though most of their Fall shows are on the East Coast, the guys will travel to the Pacific for a gig in Seattle and another in their hometown of Portland.
