This is something you’re not going to want to miss. Hit band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released a music video on top of the Empire State building.

The new video for the song “Despair” was directed by Patrick Daughters and is the second single from their recent album Mosquito via Interscope.
Shot atop the Empire State building 86 floors up, the band worked hard to produce this unique video to support song “Despair” which was ranked #5 in the Billboard’s Top 200 in April.
The video was co-produced with Noisey.com and together, they accomplished a task that until now, no other band had attempted.
With band member Nick Zinner’s recent reuniting of former band Challenge of the Future, and their hit “Despair” gaining increasing popularity, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are taking over the world.
The band recently performed “Despair” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with Karen O rocking the house in her usual fashion.
Karen O comments on the outrageous video ideas and how it felt to be up there filming.
“I felt like I could give as personal a performance because of our history together. It was important to us that it felt intimate despite being filmed at one of NYC’s most famous landmarks and an international cultural icon. It was my first-ever trip up to the top of the ESB, top of the world, we were up there from 3am to sunrise, I’m guessing very few get to see that view from up there at those hours.”
