Daniel Lopatin as Oneohtrix Point Never will release his seventh solo album and his first on Warp Records on October 1st. It will be a marked departure from his previous work.

Experimental electronic composer Daniel Lopatin’s upcoming R Plus Seven is, according to a press release, “full of overlapping, abstract musical through-lines, puzzle-like pieces that, taken together, might allow you to glimpse an overarching tableau.” The Brooklyn based artist who makes mostly drone/ambient music will be following last year’s collaborative album with Tim Hecker, Instrumental Tourist and his 2011 acclaimed solo album, Replica.
