Black Sabbath Achieves First-Ever U.S. No. 1 Album In Their 45-Year Career With 13

Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath have earned their first ever No. 1 album with 13, their 19th studio album and first since 1995. 13 is turning out to be a lucky number for Black Sabbath

After many long disputed contract negotiations with drummer Bill Ward and complications with guitarist Tony Iommi’s health, Black Sabbath finally reunited as three piece in 2012. After announcing their Rick Rubin produced, 13, their first album since 1995, Sabbath released “God Is Dead?” in April. 13 sold over 155,000 copies in its first week, 100,000 more units than the number 2 record on the Billboard album charts. Black Sabbath plans to tour this summer starting July 25 in Houston, TX in support of 13.
