Johnathan Rice is back with his third solo album since the 2010 release of I’m Having Fun Now which he recorded with Jenny Lewis as Jenny and Johnny.
The native Californian has recently announced the release of his newest project entitled Good Graces via SQE Music on September 17th.
Although this new LP has Rice written all over it, there are many talents involved in the inner workings of this masterpiece including bassist Wiley Gelber, drummer Jason Boesel, and collaborating genius Farmer Dave Scher.
This album has a soft surf feel boasting vocals from long boarder Chad Marshall in the ballad “Surfer’s Lament”. The groove of this new album is something you will never forget.
To get a taste you can check out the song “My Heart Belongs to You” and even download it for free on the Johnathan Rice website.
Johnathan Rice is a name we will be hearing for a while. The new musical romantic comedy film Song One, starring Anne Pathaway, will feature a soundtrack including several of Johnathan Rice and Jenny Lewis originals.
