Renowned electro house producer and master of patchwork soundscapes, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo a.k.a. The Bloody Beetroots is gearing up for his highly-anticipated sophomore album, HIDE, set for release September 17th by Ultra Music. His newest single, the heavy-hitting stadium melodrama “Out of Sight,” shows off the record’s star-studded cameo list, pairing the legendary Paul McCartney alongside punk rocker Youth, of Killing Joke fame.
“I’m really proud to have had the chance to work with such a legendary figure,” Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo said about the collaboration. “I was impressed by the creative energy in the room when you get three musicians from three different generations vibing together in the studio.”
HIDE may have him playing in the big leagues, but Mr. Bloody Beetroot is no stranger to collaborative work. A video surfaced last month of the wildly eclectic track, “Spank,” which features TAI & Bart B More. In recent studio sessions with Youth, Rifo enjoyed the privilege of remixing Killing Joke material, and his work with Dennis Lyxzén of Swedish hardcore punk band The Refused resulted in the hit single “Church of Noise” and strange cult following. With the endorsement of electro house heavyweights from across the globe, Rifo’s genre-hopping style seems unstoppable, snowballing up new wave, hardcore, and whatever else in his ascent to the punk rock EDM throne.
