An extraordinary up-and-coming deep house duo, franskild, has recently announced that they will be releasing a new EP on August 1st.
Comprised of two Denmark-based Swedes, Love Ojensa and Tim Söderström (a master chef and an architect, respectively), the duo only recently began recording under the name franskild. An archive of their music can be found on Soundcloud as well as on Facebook, which includes their debut EP, majestic mountains.
In preparation for their new EP, the duo decided to release two tracks earlier this week, “Eden” and “Shard.” MixMax has already started heavily promoting “Shard” and the track has already received well over 10,000 plays in under three days. The song’s intriguing blend between melancholic soundscape that oscillates between minor and major modes, and happy, seductive vocals (performed by Love’s sister Rebekka) allow it to easily stand out from the other tracks on the EP.
