John Paul Jones reveals he is not available for a Led Zeppelin reunion in 2014.
Earlier this year Robert Plant brought on rumors of a Led Zeppelin reunion by admitting he didn’t have anything to do in 2014. Led Zeppelin last performed together was a one-off concert in 2007 at the O2 Arena in London. At the time it was Robert Plant who didn’t want to sign on for additional performances.
Consequence of Sound reports it is now John Paul Jones who does not want to commit to a Zeppelin reunion. The bassist is busy adapting a 105 year old Swedish play into an opera. The play is based on August Strindberg’s Spöksonaten and Plant admitted he is halfway through the first act. In an interview with The Guardian he said, “[Opera] is unlike anything else. It’s the emotion, the passion, and I’m writing an opera myself so I have to say that.”
