Queens of the Stone Age, Live at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple

Queens of the Stone Age hit the NYC area hard on their promotional tour for the just-released …Like Clockwork. After a special live-streamed show from Dave Letterman’s studio and a 100-person in-store show at Vintage Vinyl in New Jersey, the band surprised fans with a last-minute show at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. The concert was announced the afternoon before, and tickets went on sale immediately. The 1,000-person capacity venue sold out in minutes.

Fans and special guests were treated to the new album performed in sequence –including the first-ever performance of “Fairweather Friends”– and an encore of early favorites “You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar But I Feel Like a Millionaire,” “No One Knows” and “Song for the Dead.” Though the show didn’t start until 11:30 p.m. and many fans stood outside over an hour waiting for doors to open in a massive downpour, no one was ready to head home at 1 a.m.
