Electronic power pop duo Icona Pop have taken the world by storm over the past few months and are following up the release of the wildly successful “The Iconic EP” with a similarly titled tour, The Iconic Tour, which will likely visit a city near you late this summer or early this fall.
Along with an exciting tour in the works, Icona Pop have also released a video for their track “Girlfriend.” The song can be streamed below.
UPDATE (8/29): Icona Pop have postponed their upcoming Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Seattle shows due to Aino Jawo receiving strict orders from a doctor to be on bed-rest for an undisclosed sickness. The Iconic Tour will recommence in Salt Lake City on September 6th after Aino has had a week to recover.
The healthier half of Icona Pop, Caroline Hjelt, had this to say:
“We cannot tell you how sad we are and how much these shows meant to us. Our fans are so important to us and we live to perform on stage for you each night. We promise we’ll be back and will see you soon! In the meantime, please send lots of love and good energy Aino’s way!”
