Backed by four talented musicians and bursting strands of light, My Morning Jacket lead singer Jim James brought his much anticipated solo act to a sold-out audience at The Fonda in Los Angeles. Playing through his entire magnificent album, Regions of Light and Sound of God, James carelessly whipped his hair throughout the entire set, culminating in a Monsters of Folk mini-reunion with Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst for the track “Dear God.” With just over a handful of mostly festival dates left, be sure to catch Jim James and his new friends before he returns to his “day job”.
