Legendary indie-rockers, Sebadoh, announce their first LP in 14 years, Defend Yourself out in September via Joyful Noise Recordings. They are also finding a proper release for last year’s Secret EP on vinyl.
After being kicked out of Dinosaur Jr. in 1989, Lou Barlow focused his attention on his other band, Sebadoh. Along with bands like Pavement, and Built to Spill, Sebadoh is often described as being a seminal band in 90s American lo-fi and indie rock. Other than a few reunion shows, the band went on a hiatus for a decade after the release of their last full length, The Sebadoh in 1999. Last year the band quietly self-released the Secret EP, their first new music in 13 years. Now, Joyful Noise is giving the Secret EP a proper release, available digitally, and on 10″ black vinyl, and limited edition 10″ green marble vinyl (hand-numbered out of just 300 copies) on June 25th, 2013. Their upcoming LP, Defend Yourself will be out on September 17th.
