Peter Hook & The Light will debut their critically acclaimed performances to North American audiences September 2013. The band will be performing alongside Slaves of Venus for all headline dates.
Peter Hook & The Light have just announced their nine date run in the US and three tour dates in Canada for September 2013. The band will be debuting their critically acclaimed performance of the first two New Order albums, 1981’s Movement and 1983’s Power, Corruption & Lies. Joined by Slaves of Venus, the Light’s North American tour is following sold out UK debut concerts.
The band will be playing the first two albums in sequential order from start to finish, which critics agree has become a staple for their shows. Fans can also expect to hear singles and B-Sides from the period like “Everything’s Gone Green”, “Temptation” and “Blue Monday.” Although Peter Hook & The Light are straying from New Order’s trademark set-lists, the band pays tribute to the landmark, post-punk dance music that continues to excite fans and critics alike.
“Hooky is the Rock God of bass players. His performance at North London’s Koko had far more energy than last summer’s Hyde Park show by the rest of New Order. He closed with a triumphant Temptation and the inevitable encore of Blue Monday. You’ve still got it, Hooky.” – The Sun
