Portland, OR based rock group, Red Fang, have set the release for the third studio album, which is currently untitled, for Fall 2013. This will be the band’s second album off of Relapse Records, having released their last album Murder the Mountains in 2011. Fang’s third album features collaboration from producer Chris Funk of the Decemberists, and Grammy Award winning mixer, Vance Powell. Their 2011 album received rave reviews from the press, and the band’s notoriety grew rapidly with their series of comedic videos directed by Whitley McConnaughy. The clips were featured on Reddit and became viral sensations, culminating over 1 million views.

The past few years, Red Fang has been touring internationally in music festivals like Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival and high-profile tours with bands like Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan. Prior to the release of their Fall 2013 currently untitled album, the band will tour internationally this summer. The tour started in Portland, OR and the band played the Sasquatch! Music Festival this May in Washington state. The band is eager to release the album and fans can check out Red Fang this summer at one of their international and US show dates.

We’re hyper excited about this new album. The basic tracks are like rabid monkeys we’re wrangling at Type Foundry in our hometown of Portland, OR. Producer Chris Funk has almost been amputated twice. Surprise guests abound! We’re in the final moments before all systems are go on this sucker. Dig people! -Red Fang
