Pharell Williams hinted that Daft Punk would be touring in support of their upcoming album, Random Access Memories, but once again, the enigmatic robots say that no tour is planned.
With information coming out about future live shows and a much buzzed about album to be released next week, many were hoping that a tour would be in the near future for this french electronic duo, but they assure us that this is not the case. Pharell Williams, who is featured on the group’s latest single, “Get Lucky”, started this whole thing when he hinted to the New York Post about a tour next year in which he would join the band. Unfortunately fans were not left to dream for very long before Daft Punk let the Huffington Post know that there would not be a tour.
In promotion for Random Access Memories Daft Punk have released a video series featuring collaborators on the album which includes Todd Edward, Nile Rogers, and Panda Bear. Daft Punk have also apparently collaborated on two songs with Kanye West on his new album, which is rumored to be released June 18th.
