Hailing from Britain, Yuck have revived alternative rock and are now turning their sights on upstate New York as the locale for their newly recorded album. This will be the first record without their vocalist and guitarist Daniel Blumberg, who recently parted ways with the band.
Blumberg was once the main songwriter and frontman of the band, but Yuck are not concerned with his absence affecting their creative output negatively. In fact, in spite of their collective disappointment and sadness, they seem immensely optimistic about the future of Yuck. Blumberg’s decision to pursue his new Hebronix project full-time has not cast a shadow of doubt upon the remaining members of the alt-rock foursome; they have invited a new frontman into the fray, guitarist Max Bloom. He hopes to fill Blumberg’s shoes successfully.
The band’s sophomore release will likely be completed in the fall.
