Austin City Limits has begun to reveal several artists on their lineup through not-so-subtle clues released on beer coozies and old-fashioned newspaper classifieds. The unconventional method has caught the attention of many potential festival attendees who will experience the major Austin, Texas festival in October.
The back pages of the Austin Chronicle as well as the above pictured beer coozies feature significant, fairly obvious clues. The lineup thus far seems to suggest several big names will headline, including fun. Grouplove, Shovels & Rope, and The True Believers.
Names of several other bands have appeared on coffee sleeves and styrofoam cups, including Local Natives, Portugal. the Man, and The Joy Formidable, among others. Muse have confirmed their involvement themselves, and other rumoured acts include Vampire Weekend and The xx. These small but intriguing hints have built excitement over the past several days, but the official lineup announcement will take place on May 7th. ETA: The full lineup has been released!
