The Knife is prepping a tour in support of their new album Shaking the Habitual and it sounds like there will be some strange and artistic happenings. Read More for more information.
The Knife recently released their newest LP Shaking The Habitual, an album that challenges fans expectations. Under The Radar is reporting The Knife is taking the songs from Shaking The Habitual on tour in what looks to be a strange and wild tour. In an open letter addressing the tour The Knife explain the entertainment aspect of performing and that they will be breaking normalcy. The opening acts are the most perplexing aspect of the The Knife’s tour. The first opening act Deep Aerobics is described as, an “absurdist aerobics class taught by a master-teacher-guru-shaman-dictator-aerobic instructor-new age workshop leader, Tarek Halaby” and attendees can bring whatever they want to wear for the aerobics. The other opening act is feminist art collective OFA-KOLLEKTIVET performing “danceoke” which is pretty much karaoke but instead of one person singing it involves everyone in the room dancing to music videos. To say the least this is going to be an interesting tour for The Knife.
