I Could’ve Been Your Girl is the newest track to launch from She & Him’s forthcoming album Volume 3, which is set to hit stores on May 7.
The indie pop duo, made up of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, began on this adventure back in 2008 when they released the first cut in this series of albums, titled Volume 1. Their records have flourished a reputation of feel good music across vintage 60’s pop tempo and melody. And yes, Zooey Deschanel has managed to melt our hearts once again in I Could’ve Been Your Girl, as “She & Him” employ their knack for making tear ridden, failed pillow love songs, feel like the most adorable sound to ever escape from a set of speakers.
The new track is currently streaming across computer screens everywhere, and if you haven’t already, take a few minutes to listen to the song here.
The album will be graced through Merge Records, and shortly after the debut comes a month long tour that will be followed up by She & Him in celebration of the release. The tour hits big cities nationwide, as the band will be joined by Secret Sisters, Camera Obscura, and Tilly and the Wall throughout. If you plan on checking out one of the shows, take a look at the tour dates listed below.
