Just as things are beginning to feel like spring we’re already hearing fall tour dates. Dallas Green aka City & Colour will be hitting the road for an epic 8 week long tour that begins in mid September and wraps up in early November. The tour comes months after Green releases his latest album The Hurry and The Harm on June 4th. The album alone is shaping up to be a special one. Recorded in Nashville, it features Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) on bass, Bo Koster (My Morning Jacket) on keys and Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam) on drums. The record will be the 4th from City & Colour and the first since 2011’s Little Hell.
As if the gigantic tour wasn’t enough for fans, City & Colour will also be giving a free copy of The Hurry and The Harm with every ticket purchased up until showdate. On top of the album, fans will also get a download of an exclusive, unreleased song entitled “Northern Wind”. The song was recorded live from Molson Canadian Amphitheater in Green’s hometown of Toronto back in 2011. City & Colour begin their 2013 tour on East Coast. On September 18th, as they make their way down the coast, City & Colour will stop at the Electric Factory. VIP ticket packages are included for select dates (the Electric Factory dat being one) that will give fans access to the venue during soundcheck, a signed 7″ single and more.
