Last night, after nearly 3 years since their first EP was released, How to destroy angels_ performed their first concert at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA. And it was as jarring and beautiful as any fan of Trent Reznor would expect.
As seen in the following videos, How to destroy angels_ seems to pull out all the electronic stops with their jolting use of neon, geometric lighting. Perhaps in preparation for their upcoming Coachella gigs, the band delivered to the crowd mesmerizing renditions of “The Space in Between”, “How Long”, “BBB” and “Parasite,” the latter two evoking the undaunted, mechanical feel of NIN.
While the live band revealed itself from behind the transparent scene only a few times in the videos, there were a few glistening moments in which Reznor joins wife Mariqueen Maandig for stage front harmony.
