The Yeah Yeah Yeahs want you to experience their concert with your eyes, not with your smart phone.
Sunday night at Webster’s Hall in New York, Spin Magazine spotted something interesting at the entrance of the venue. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs had posted a statement directed at their fans attending the concert, asking them in a humorous but serious way to put away their cellphones and cameras. Spin reports that during the concert Karen O reiterated this message and gave the fans an opportunity to take pictures but then “put those motherfuckers away.”
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs new album Mosquito will be released April 19th. Listen to its first single “Sacrilege” here.
