Hot off their trek down to SXSW, local up-and-comers Katie Frank & The Pheromones return to the stage on April 17th for a headlining gig at Ortlieb’s Lounge. In lieu of the show Katie and the crew have already come out and announced that in celebration of their hometown return they will be performing a handful of new songs. Joining them on the stage are Thee, Idea Men and Eric 13 and Johnny Richie. The good guys over at BITBY.TV are sponsoring the show as well.
Katie Frank has been making a name for herself after releasing her debut EP, Covered Bridge Road, last year with help from producer/guitarist Josh Werblun. Her own special mix of poppy, hook-filled songwriting mixed with a slight alternative edge and a little country twang is on display throughout the four song album. The new tunes pick up from where it leaves off too, adding to it a slight change as Frank grows as a songwriter.
