The Flaming Lips weren’t alone in making this out-of-this-world video. For this one, they got together with Bon Iver. This colab is one of The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends.
The video is definitely out of the box. It features an astronaut (with an eyeball for a head) who rescues a Benjamin Button-type baby (the baby has an adults face) and then sacrifices the baby. The video almost needs a “viewer discretion is advised” warning at the start.
Heady Fwends is a compilation of collaborations between The Flaming Lips and various other artists over the years. The album contains 13 tracks with artists ranging from Nick Cave to Kesha.
