Newport Folk Fest has officially announced the 2013 artist lineup including some of our favorites, Amanda Palmer, the Lumineers and more. Read on for a full lineup.
The festival, based in Rhode Island, will be held the last few days of July. What better way than to spend your last ounces of summer fun in the sun listening to some great music? Since 1959, artists have been performing on the stage only to receive great amounts of praise. Their sets exposed their many talents to record producers and record label representatives, sending several artists from the lineup onto their path to stardom. The festival “serves true musical omnivores, fans who crave innovation but appreciate tradition,” according to their history. The lineup is as follows:
