Malta Festival Poznan is an experimental festival that takes place in venues across Poland’s Poznan. The festival aims to turn Poznan into a living stage of theatre and cultural awareness of the beautiful and spectacular. There will be events featuring unique blends of music, film, visual art, forum, silent malta, theater and performance through the dates of the festival between June 24th and July 20th. Malta Festival Poznan has unveiled two headliners for its 2013 extended event: Atoms For Peace and Kraftwerk.
Thom Yorke starring supergroup featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Radiohead producer Neil Godrich Atoms For Peace will be headlining the final day on July 20th. Kraftwerk will be playing on June 28th at Old Gasworks with a full-scale open air 3-D performance. Kraftwerk’s performance is a reworking of a retrospective series they completed at MoMA in New York featuring eight 3-D performances representing each of their albums. They later presented the entire performance at the Tate Modern in London but the performance at Malta Festival Poznan will include material from all eight albums running about two hours long. You can buy tickets for either Atoms For Peace and/or Kraftwerk at Malta Festival Poznan’s website.
