Details of the upcoming album release surfaced on Mew’s Facebook account in a post written by “B.” And with 1,410 likes, 52 shares and 76 comments, and counting, it is clear fans are excited.
It is reported to be a “creative” collaboration with audiomaker B&O PLAY. The recording process is described as “playful” and “engaging.”
Fans have a right to be anxious about the new album. One of Mews previous albums, Frengers, was awarded “Album of the Year” at the 2003 Danish Music Critics Award show. At the same award show they also won “Band of the Year.”
It’s been four years since their last release when the Danish alt rock group debuted the No More Stories… EP in 2009.
This will also be their first independent music release since their split from music label, Sony, earlier this year.
