In paying their own slice of homage to the greats that influenced them, the Melvins are releasing an album of covers on April 30.
Everybody Loves Sausages features tracks from various glam and hard rock artists the Melvins have cited as some of the biggest motivation behind their very own music. This includes songs by David Bowie, The Fugs, Roxy Music and more, and a taste of what’s to come was leaked this week when the Melvins made their version of Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend” available for streaming. The hit single remake, with guest vocals from Tweak Bird’s Caleb Benjamin, now holds more of an arcade-like quality to it, but there’s still those fierce and shredding guitar moments that leave it reminiscent of Queen’s original.

The Melvins will soon be touring in parts of Europe and the U.S., and Melvins Lite will also begin touring Europe in April.
