Following years of coordination and collaboration, Stephen King, John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett have finally announced the official release date for their haunting musical, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County
The album, which will be released June 4, combines the storytelling tactics of such actors as Meg Ryan and Matthew McConaughey with that of musicians Elvis Costello, Neko Case, Taj Mahal, Sheryl Crow and many more. As seen in the following video, the tale is that of a dark and mysterious one, making it seem fitting Mellencamp takes on a bit of a Tom Waits approach to his singing for the album.
