Iron Maiden Announces Own Brand of Beer

Looking for new beers to try out this St. Patrick’s Day? You’re in luck – Iron Maiden have just launched their own brand of beer.

For now, only fans attending Iron Maiden shows will have access to the beer. The ale is called “Trooper”, after their 1983 single. The band plans to eventually release the beer across the United Kingdom before taking their brand worldwide.

It isn’t uncommon for bands to release their own brands of booze however. AC/DC have a wine line, (including one named Back in Black Shiraz), and Motorhead have their own vodka line.

Iron Maiden paid their respects to former drummer Clive Burr this week as well. The drummer, who was suffering from multiple sclerosis, passed away earlier this week.
