South By Southwest has announced special appearance by Dave Grohl and the Sound City Players at Stubb’s (801 Red River) on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 8 pm.
A lottery system will be in place, granting priority entry for Platinum and Music Badge Holders only. No other credentials will be eligible for this drawing. Limited numbers of SXSW Wristbands may be eligible for tickets through a separate process and will be announced at a later date.
Appearing with the Sound City Players will be Grohl, John Fogerty, Wallflowers keyboardist Rami Jaffee and violinist Jessy Greene, Masters of Reality’s Chris Goss, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, Chris Shiflett, Fear’s Pat Smear and Lee Ving, Rick Springfield, Slipknot and Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor, and Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk.
Sound City Players have previously performed in Los Angeles at the Palladium and at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
